Also, she always tried to help, fearlessly also in the Highbreed final battle. She always understood if Ben was busy with alien fighting and other activities he couldn't leave.But she's brave enough to NOT ONLY fight the knights but also stand face to face with her possessed pet even when it was aiming to kill her. On the Pet Project episode, she could've also ditched tf out of Ben's life, they were threatened by Knights who didn't care about killing them, her pet was trying to be used as a weapon, it's understandable that she could've freak the heck out and just say nope and go.And even after that, when she knew Ben's secret, she could've easily run away scared, but she stayed, because that's what you do when you really like someone. She had to put up with being stood up more than one time, patiently waiting and trusting, when any other girl wouldn't have stayed after the first stood up, let's be honest. Back into the first date, the night at the pier in Alien Force.Her biggest weakness whatsoever is forgiveness, she forgives way too much. She's friendly and patient, but confident enough to know how much she's worth *we love a girl who knows what she deserves*.She's a talented tennis player, passionate about it and yes, a little competitive on sports, but, no to the point of bragging her victories or being egocentric *cough* unlike Ben *cough*.She is pretty chill too and funny, you can see she enjoys the simplicity of company, any food, any activities, she's up for it.Julie is a very nice girl, mostly smiley and always offering help to Ben and the guys (in school finals or alien stuff).This inspired me to talk about this in the perspective of her. I've read in here and other platforms posts against Julie or justifying Ben. And if you disagree please say it respectfully) Okay, let's start. (This is my opinion based on what I watched on the series. THIS IS A LITTLE RANT AND APPRECIATION POST FOR JULIE YAMAMOTO. The Ben 10 setting isn’t one that makes death cheap as I pointed out here, it sticks. You can always have another date, all those lives lost during inaction? Gone forever. All things considered and given the context of Ben’s life… he’s a fantastic love interest that has his priorities right. Them braking up is honestly for the best since Julie has a boyfriend that can actually give her the attention she wants (who I should note she basically got behind Ben’s back since he thought they were still together prior to them meeting again in Omniverse).Ĭontrary to Julie, Ben has never ONCE complained about Julie being gone for long stretches of time for tennis matches. You want to know what would have happened if the writers weren’t forcing the drama? They’d have broken up looooooong before Omniverse once she made it clear she prioritizes her time/their date time above SAVING LIVES and there’d never be any OOC bs like Gwen prioritizing a tennis match over stopping the Forever Knights. He doesn’t even LIKE IT in the first place. Or the very same episode where Julie threw a bitch fit at Ben being a media magnet. Like them getting mad at him for prioritizing a hostage situation over being on time for Julie at the airport, or how in Duped Gwen STRAIGHT UP ADMITTED the Forever Knights are always trying to take over the world and them getting mad at him for stopping them instead of arriving on time for a match. Julie straight up wanted shit from Ben he in good conscious couldn’t do or he had no real control over, this isn’t even getting into the fact the narrative bends over backwards to paint Ben as the bad guy in arguments arbitraryly. As has shown in various essays (and whose help really shouldn’t be needed to see it since it’s pretty clear in the series… but than again there are people who legitimately actually no bullshit believe Ben is a narcissistic womanizing sociopath/psychopath so maybe her amazing essays are needed after all) that Ben’s longest relationship was only ok for like….
